We are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations related to Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), contracts, and vendor management. In this role you will ensure the effective and efficient execution of operations in these critical areas to support organizational objectives, maintain smooth workflows, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Note: This is a remote, work from home position

As a Director of Operations at LeapPoint, you will have the opportunity to oversee:

HR Management:

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Oversee recruitment processes and ensure that staffing needs are met in a timely manner
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture and handle employee concerns, ensuring effective conflict resolution and communication
  • Onboarding & Training: Manage the onboarding process for new hires and coordinate employee training programs to improve skillsets
  • Performance Management: Work with HR teams to set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback to employees
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies

IT Operations:
  • Technology Oversight: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure is running smoothly
  • System Implementation: Oversee the implementation of new software, tools, or IT systems to improve operational efficiency
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Work with IT staff to resolve technical issues and provide support to employees regarding IT-related matters
  • Cybersecurity: Ensure the company adheres to cybersecurity best practices, maintaining the security of company data and systems

Contract Management:
  • Contract Drafting & Review: Oversee the drafting, reviewing, and approval of contracts to ensure they meet organizational needs and legal standards
  • Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Renewals & Amendments: Monitor contract expiration dates, renegotiate terms when necessary, and oversee renewals and amendments
  • Vendor Relationships: Work with the legal department and other relevant teams to manage vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLAs)

Vendor Management:
  • Vendor Selection & Negotiation: Evaluate and select vendors that align with the organization’s operational goals. Negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable contracts
  • Vendor Performance Monitoring: Track and assess vendor performance based on SLAs and KPIs, ensuring that services are delivered on time and within budget
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure long-term cooperation and service excellence.
  • Cost Control: Manage vendor budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings or more efficient vendor contracts

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
  • Workflow Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to improve operational workflows in HR, IT, contracts, and vendor management
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with department heads to develop and enforce operational policies and procedures that enhance organizational efficiency
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate reports related to HR metrics, IT performance, contract compliance, and vendor performance to assist with decision-making

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Team Coordination: Act as a liaison between HR, IT, procurement, and legal teams to ensure smooth operations across the organization
  • Project Management: Lead and support key cross-functional projects related to operational efficiency, systems implementation, and vendor management
  • Executive Support: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding operational performance and any issues that need attention

The following skills will set you up for success:
  • 5-7 years of experience in operations management, with experience in HR, IT, contracts, and vendor management
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, IT systems, contract law, and vendor relationship management
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with contract management software, HRIS systems, and IT tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, HR, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.

Travel: This position may require approximately 10-20% travel

Compensation & Benefits:
  • The base salary for this role is $140,000 - $175,000. Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated results as a Director of Operations
