We have an excellent opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer responsible for financial management, reporting and analysis, and strategic direction of LeapPoint in conjunction with LeapPoint’s Chief Executive Officer; works in collaboration with the leadership team to meet growth and profit targets, as well as to support an organizational structure to drive continuous improvement and position LeapPoint for long-term growth, while optimizing near and mid-term profitability. 
 

Position Purpose

Responsible for financial management, reporting and analysis, and strategic direction of the business in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer; works in collaboration with the leadership team to meet growth and profit targets, as well as to support an organizational structure to drive continuous improvement and position the business for long-term growth, while optimizing near and mid-term profitability.
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management of the business, in conjunction with the CEO and other members of the Leadership Team, with respect to financial, operational and client matters focusing on achievement of Revenue and Profit targets.
  • Responsible for financial planning, forecasting and budgeting process with CEO and leadership team.
  • Responsible for financial process review and implementation of best practices across the business to maintain appropriate procedures/process and controls in support of S-Box and other OMC and OPMG standards; maintain an effective governance structure supporting the financial and operational management of the business; manage operations in compliance with Omnicom’s Grant of Authority and other policies/processes as implemented from time to time.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely compilation and reporting of financial information in accordance with OPMG and OMC policies.
  • Responsible for review and analysis of all financial statements submitted to OMC/OPMG, including revenue recognition and growth/attrition, expense management and analysis versus Plans/Forecasts.
  • Responsible for management and tracking of investments and non-billable activities to ensure appropriate reserve allocation and management to approved budget, as well as achievement of planned ROI.
  • Responsible for working capital management to ensure cash maximization and mitigation of credit risk in conjunction with OPMG/OMC policies.
  • Responsible to lead systems initiatives to drive quality and timely financial reporting, as well as provide the requisite analysis to proactively manage revenue and profit drivers and ensure that leadership have the data needed to make business decisions.
  • Strategic Support:
  • Engagement with M&A evaluation and strategic development initiatives; deliver financial analysis and insights to help drive structural and investment decisions.
  • Provide CEO and Leadership Team scenario planning and insights to help drive operational, investment and M&A decisions. 
  • Ability to contribute to the vision of the organization and to partner to develop medium- and long-term plans for Agency evolution.
  • Responsible for financial leadership/structure development around client pricing and new business initiatives/start-ups within the business to ensure client profitability targets are achieved.
  • Ownership of client contract and Statement of Work review process (including inter-agency) to ensure the appropriate protection of the business across all aspects of engagements/relationships (incl. liability caps, data privacy laws and partner/vendor performance, among others) and in compliance with OPMG/OMC policies.
  • Manage finance and accounting staff to support activities across FP&A, Payroll, Working Capital, client financial management and reporting.
  • Proactively partner with HR to maintain ongoing development and mentorship for finance and accounting staff, as well as the financial/operational development of other key leaders.

LeapPoint is growing and rapidly changing organization.  This position profile reflects the general nature and level of work assigned for the CFO.  It does not restrict management’s right to reassign duties or responsibilities at any time based on business needs if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in finance or accounting; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Mix of public accounting and private sector experience preferred. 
  • Strong organizational skills; excellent financial and managerial skills. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and meet deadlines under pressure. 
  • Self-motivated with a positive/professional approach to management; flexible and a good team player.
